Dennis Leary, voiceover extraordinaire for Ford Trucks, is back with a new video from the Blue Oval featuring everyone’s favorite off-road truck; the 2017 Ford Raptor. Using the power of modern-day computer imaging technology, Ford gives us a detailed look at the new truck’s unique features to make it the king of the off-roaders.

Most of it is stuff we already know. The truck will be powered by a high-output, second-generation 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine. That power is sent to all four-wheels by way of a new 10-speed automatic transmission (a similar design is used in the new Camaro, of all things). An available Torsen front differential improves traction when rock crawling.

The Fox Racing shocks use an internal bypass technology to prevent the truck from bouncing “like a kangaroo in an over-inflated jumpy castle.” Those shocks help the 2017 Ford Raptor achieve 13″ of suspension travel.

Available bead-lock capable wheels are available for the serious off-roader, and a terrain response system controls all the computer components of the truck to give you the best traction and performance for any given situation.

Basically, the new Raptor is going to be bonkers. It’s going to be fun. It’s going to be capable. Now, we just need to drive it!
