F-150 Faces New Recalls
Ford recently released a spat of recalls, including one for the 2011-2012 F-150. Some models shipped with a faulty "transmission range sensor." Shifting into reverse should normally trigger an indicator on the dash and turn on the reverse lights. In trucks with a bad sensor, these lights don’t come on, creating a dangerous situation for other cars and pedestrians.
Aside from the F-150, the recall also covers the Lincoln Navigator and Expedition. Some 10,500 vehicles could be affected.
The recall begins on June 25th. Ford will contact owners of the affected models and will allow them to get their trucks fixed at their dealership.
