We’re Driving the 2016 F-650 Dump Truck, What Do You Want to Know?
Next Wednesday is going to be a pretty fun day for me, because I’ll get to pretend like I’m 8 years old again! I’ll be at the Ohio Assembly Plant where Ford makes the E-Series cutaway vans, the new chassis cab F-Series Super Duty, and the medium-duty F-650 and F-750 commercial trucks. Apart from a plant tour, I’ll also get an opportunity to wheel an orange F-650 that has been up-fit with the dump truck accessory.
We’ve talked about the F-650 dump truck that’s been floating around a few times here on FTE, as Ford has let some commercial truck journalists get dirty with the truck. A couple of other journalists and myself will have that same opportunity, along with taking a tour of the facility where the American-built medium duty trucks are built. If you don’t remember, last year Ford moved production of the F-650 and F-750 from Mexico back to Cleveland, Ohio.
I’ll also get a chance to talk to people on the truck team, including Kevin Koester, fleet marketing manager at Ford, about anything I want. So to that end, here’s where you come in.
Is there anything you want to know about Ford commercial trucks, the production facility, or the F-650 and F-750 in general? Let me in the comments below, on Twitter, or over in the forums and I’ll make sure to follow up with the Ford team while I’m there.
