The launch of the 2017 Ford Raptor is over a year away. But Ford gave us a sneak peek at the truck during the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. There, we saw a pre-production version painted in Liquid Blue paint. But have you wondered how many Raptors they’ve built?

Now that the aluminum F-150 is off and running, it’s time to focus our attention on the replacement for the Super Duty line of F-Series trucks.
In order to reach fuel efficiency targets, the 2015 Ford F-150 needed to lose some weight. Switching from a steel body to an aluminum body was a great way to reduce weight. Around 700 lbs was saved on the normal truck, and 500 lbs from the 2017 Raptor. But what about carbon fiber?
