Ford January Sales Down, but Transit and SUV Sales Up
What were you doing in February of 1985? If you were a Ford employee, you were probably celebrating outstanding January van sales. That’s what the Blue Oval folks are doing again today.
This week’s Muddy video reminds us that you don’t always need a jacked up four wheel drive truck to play in the mud – as the rear wheel drive F-150 in this video is able to sling quite a bit of mud without the help of a transfer case.
Right now, the floor of the NRG Center in Houston is full of more than 700 vehicles that range from performance cars to pickup trucks. In between those two extremes at the Houston Auto Show stands the 2016 Shelby American F-150.
Ford Motor Company announced earlier this week that all 2017 Ford F-150 pickups with an EcoBoost engine will have Start/Stop technology. This includes the 2.7L, the high volume 3.5L engine in use today and the upcoming Raptor EcoBoost engine – with the technology in place in the 2.7L EcoBoost.
Gasoline is pretty cheap these days. Maybe it’s time for Ford to greenlight all the gas guzzling projects we really want to see!
