FLASHBACK 1983 F-150 “Six” Leads in Power, MPG
This video takes us back to 1983, when Ford was bragging about having the most powerful and most efficient six cylinder engine in the half ton truck segment – just like they have recently.
Some people may shy away from the idea of pouring a ton of money into a vehicle not worth even close to that much. After all, many people see it as a better idea to get a vehicle that’s worth more and better equipped for the upgrades in order to begin working on it.
The video below transcends the concept of victory. Sure, it shows a Ford truck winning a tug of war with a Chevrolet. However, instead of coming to a stop, climbing out, and shaking the hand of the Chevy guy he bested, the driver of the Blue Oval decides to celebrate by tearing his bow tie competitor into scrap metal.
The Ford Ranger remains a favorite, despite the rise in popularity of full-size trucks. There is just something inherently appealing about a small, powerful, and 100% Ford rig that draws people in.
