Hoonigan has decided to enter the Hot Rod Power Tour and follow it until conclusion, but being who they are, they couldn’t just get a brand new F-150 or something simple. No, instead they are going to take on the trek in a classic Ford F-100 4WD that they picked up in the California desert.
Okay, it’s also much more expensive than the average spa day, though if you’re part of the uber-rich that blow 100 grand on a Monaco weekend, the $54,760 2016 Ford Explorer Platinum is pocket change.
Ford has killed it this year in sales and lineup. Now it’s been named as one of Fortune’s top 25 Blue Ribbon companies.
These are Ford 4.0L V6 trucks that are in a rear-engine setup with a manually-shifted automatic transaxle. They also feature over 20-inches of travel.
