BUILDUP A 1996 Ford F-150 Project
If you’re used to shopping for Ford trucks — or any vehicle at all — then you likely know a good deal when you see it.
They pop up from time to time and they are very hard to resist, especially when you’re looking for a ride to spend some time wrenching on! FTE member Kris (A.K.A. “KrisEvans“) bought a project that was certainly a good deal, and his build is certainly coming along nicely!
The rig is a 1996 F-150 that needed both fuel pumps and a rear fuel tank, but with just 105,000 miles on the odometer, this truck was definitely worth the effort!
So far he has already begun repairing some of the rust on the ride, replaced the mirrors with camper-style mirrors, tinted the windows, and changed out the badges.
He has a 6″ Rough Country lift order, albeit on back-order, and has the new wheels and tires ready to go!
Kris has a lot of plans for his ride, including a seat swap and finding a donor 5.8L rig for a future engine swap! He is moving steadily with his build, and it is definitely worth following!
