EXCLUSIVE: Ford to Give Real-World Super Duty Customers Behind the Scenes Access

Ford is giving five F-Series Super Duty customers the chance to have a behind the scenes look at how their trucks are developed and tested. Showcasing the all new 2017 Super Duty line-up, a six-part series of videos called “We Own Work” will follow these customers through their experiences.

The customers Ford has chosen for these videos aren’t just some random Ford enthusiasts, however. They are professionals, each from an industry that relies heavily on the toughness and overall durability of their trucks.

This makes sense considering that a large percentage of trucks in each industry are in fact Super Duties as you can see below:

Electric, gas, and sanitation – 58% Super Duty

Forestry – 50% Super Duty

Oil and gas extraction – 50% Super Duty

Heavy construction- 48% Super Duty

General manufacturing – 42% Super Duty

It turns out, professionals like Ford trucks. The series should be an interesting watch as we will get real people’s perspective on why they continually buy these trucks. I’m sure Ford hopes it will get a few more butts in its seats, too.

Five F-Series Super Duty customers will witness all-new F-Series Super Duty development, testing and capabilities before anyone else and share their stories through We Own Work video series

Customers chosen from industries that rely on heavy-duty pickup trucks, including forestry; manufacturing; heavy construction; electric, gas and sanitation; and oil and gas extraction

DEARBORN, Mich., Jan. 27, 2016 – No actors, no stunts. Five real-world heavy-duty truck customers have an all-access insider pass to see how the all-new Super Duty – the toughest, smartest, most capable Super Duty ever – lives up to its Built Ford Tough promise.

These truck customers will witness torture testing of the all-new F-Series Super Duty before anyone else in the six-part We Own Work video series. The first video – to be posted next month at ford.com – will introduce these truck customers and provide background on their businesses and how they use their fleet of Super Duty trucks.

Each participant represents an industry where workers trust F-Series Super Duty more than any other truck to get the job done, including forestry; manufacturing; heavy construction; electric, gas and sanitation; and oil and gas extraction.

Each work experience brings unique insight into the capabilities of Super Duty.
