Ford Extends Partnership With Harley-Davidson

DEARBORN, Mich., Feb. 4, 2004 – Leather and chrome. Freedom and the open road. Trucks and
motorcycles. Some concepts just go together. Like Harley-Davidson and Ford. Today, Ford and Harley-Davidson are
announcing plans to extend their alliance through 2007, which means three more years worth of exciting Ford
Harley-Davidson™ F-Series products.

“We’ve sold nearly 40,000 trucks since we introduced the first Ford
Harley-Davidson™
F-150 in 1999,” said Steve Lyons, Ford Division president. “We couldn’t be happier with the
success of our alliance, and the great response these trucks have generated from our customers.”

Power
of partnership

In 1999, Ford and Harley-Davidson forged an alliance to celebrate their corporate heritage
and shared 100th Anniversaries in 2003.

“The Ford Harley-Davidson product partnership brings out the best
attributes of two American icons,” said Lyons.

In the first four years of the alliance, the companies
introduced the 2000 Ford Harley-Davidson™ F-150 SuperCab, 2001 Ford Harley-Davidson™ SuperCrew, and 2002 and 2003
Supercharged Ford Harley-Davidson™ F-150 SuperCrew models.

Last year the companies marked the fifth
anniversary of a successful partnership with the introduction of the 2004 Ford Harley-Davidson™ F-Series Super
Duty – the most capable and toughest Ford Harley-Davidson™ truck yet.

6.0-liter Power Stroke® diesel engine.

“We’ve seen a tremendous response to the Harley-Davidson™ Super
Duty,” said Lyons. “Customers are snatching up these trucks as fast as we can build them
and they are opting for the higher-end models,” said Lyons.
