2010 SEMA Show: Bully Dog's New Products

When the 2011 Ford Super Duty was introduced with the new 6.7L PowerStroke diesel engine, the PCM software was so intricate that many thought that aftermarket tunes would be nearly impossible – until the tuning gurus at Bully Dog got ahold of one.  By the time that the 2010 SEMA Show rolled into Las Vegas, Bully Dog was offering their Triple Dog GT Diesel tuner with their exclusive on-the-fly adjustments, as well as being the only company offering a tuner for the 2011 Ford Super Duty.

The 2011 Ford Super Duty offers best-in-class horsepower and torque with an advertised 400hp and 800lb-ft of torque translating to around 364 wheel horsepower and 713lb-ft of torque at the wheels.  Bully Dog’s tuning software for the new PowerStroke has been shown to offer gains around 98 wheel horsepower in tow mode, 108whp in performance mode and 129hp in extreme mode but more impressively, the improvement in wheel torque ranges from 167 to 218 depending on the tune chosen.  In addition to adding gobs of horsepower and torque, Bully Dog’s Triple Dog GT Diesel tuner also allows for improved fuel economy as the engine makes better use of the fuel being consumed.

Along with being the first tuning company to market with the 2011 Ford 6.7L PowerStroke tuners, Bully Dog also used SEMA 2010 to show off the return of their Crazy Larry tuning products.  A few years back, Bully Dog offered the Crazy Larry race tunes but due rising government emissions regulations around the country, they discontinued the product.  The Crazy Larry tunes are now back with their own product line, available only to owners of unregistered vehicles as the ultra-aggressive tunes not intended for use on public roads.  To ensure that the Crazy Larry tunes are only used on race trucks, each Crazy Larry GT tuner must be registered to a vehicle to prove that the tuner will only be used for off-road applications.
