Bigfoot Sets World Record Jump

Monster trucks hold a special place in my heart. Even now, watching needlessly large trucks take to the air makes my inner 10 year-old a little bit giddy. So when I found out that Bigfoot set a new world record jump, I thought that other people might be interested in seeing the original monster truck do its thing as well. It wasn't a sudden surge of nostalgia that brought it back into mind. Instead, it heard that Bigfoot had broken the World Record for a monster truck jump.

I concede that monster truck jumping might not exactly be the most serious automotive accomplishment, but whatever. Monster trucks are basically in a world all their own. Comparing them to normal motor sports is like comparing professional wrestlers to Olympic grapplers. Sure, the guys in the Olympics might get the credit for being excellent at wrestling, but they don't have thousands of fans, drama, and pyrotechnics.

Indulge your inner child and watch Bigfoot break the record. I've also added one of the older videos where big foot jumps a plane. With explosions in the background. If that doesn't get you feeling patriotic, I don't know what will.
