2002 Ford Super Duty F350 Review

The 2002 Ford Super Duty F350 featured a different transmission for gas engines than previous models, and XLT and Lariat trims featured different headlight configurations. All pickups with an automatic transmission had a different instrument panel with temperature read out gauge. The 2002 F350 also included a few different color options for the exterior and interior.

The F350 was available in oxford white, arizona beige, silver, basic black, dark highland green, island blue, dark shadow gray, red, toreador red, and true blue. Other available options for all 2002 model pickups included a limited slip differential, splash guards, tow hitch receiver, and CD changer. Optional in all F350s (standard in all Lariat models), was a body side/cab step or running board, sliding rear truck window, and keyless remote entry.

Standard in all 2002 Ford Super Duty F350s was a radio, ABS brakes, air bags for driver and passenger, tachometer, towing prep package, cargo area tie downs, and pickup truck cargo box light. Standard equipment in all models except XL trims included power windows and door locks, locking pickup truck tailgate, steering wheel mounted controls, cassette player, CD player, air conditioning, cruise control, tilt steering, tilt steering column, power adjustable exterior mirror, privacy or deep tinted glass, and front split bench seat.

The standard engine for all 2002 models (except for Crew Cab) was a 5.4L 260hp 16-valve gas engine with 350 ft lbs of torque@ 2500 rpm. The standard engine for Crew Cab models was a 6.8L 310hp 20-valve gas engine with 425 ft lbs of torque @ 3250 rpm and Sequential Electronic Fuel Injection. There were two optional engines for all 2002 trims: a 7.3L 250hp 16-valve diesel engine with 505 ft lbs of torque @ 1600 rpm; and a 7.3L 275hp 10-valve diesel engine with 520 ft lbs of torque @ 1600 rpm.
