Custom Fabrication of an EGR system for a Ford 300 inline 6 (Part 2)

Tapping the aluminum block

Tapping the holes wasn't exactly rocket science. It was hard to keep the tap straight in the holes but we got both of them tapped in an hour or so. We did have to back out the tap about every 1/2 turn to keep it from getting plugged with shaving but it cut through very well. Now that we have the 2 holes tapped we need to test fit the EGR valve and fittings along with drilling two holes so we can bolt the EGR to the new adapter.
