Ford Offers 2013 F-150 Special Service Vehicle

Here’s one bad Ford truck that can do more than most pickups. This Special Service Vehicle was created by Ford for no extra charge to fleet, municipal, and government buyers which turns this 2013 F-150 into a police, fire, or rescue-ready truck.

As I’m sure you’ve already heard that Ford has released Police Interceptors in the form of the Taurus and Explorer, and now an F-150. Mustangs have also been used to help police throughout the years as well.

The package will be available for any F-150 with the choice of SuperCab or a full four-door SuperCrew. More options consist of rear-wheel-drive or 4×4 and the choice of a 5.0L V8 or the new 3.5L turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine. It will also feature a heavy-duty 220-amp alternator for any increased electrical load such as lights or sirens. Vinyl seats are included that can be hosed down and cleaned easily if need be.

Is the F-150 a good match for special services? Tell us what you think in the forums.
