Followers of this year’s LA Auto Show are already aware of the fact that Ford wasn’t shy about showing off its 2013 models (including the potent 2013 SVT Mustang Shelby GT500).  However, truck aficionados were disappointed at the apparent lack of 2013 pickup love—but that’s what spy shots are for.

Spy photos of 2013 F-150s in action are beginning to circulate around the net and while the best-selling Ford isn’t due for a full makeover just yet, it is apparently entitled to a little refreshment for the 2013 model year (which should be released mid-2012).

While glances reveal no major revolutions, a closer look tells of a grille reminiscent of the current Super Duty  and the new Ford Flex. There also appears to be an ample amount of chrome stripping surrounding the headlamps.

While nothing’s certain just yet, we don’t anticipate any major updates under the hood.

In an effort to maintain common visual identity across its entire range, Ford appears mostly satisfied to leave well enough alone here.

The 2013 F-150 will likely be the last before a renewal of the icon as rumors have been persistent that 2014 will represent the full revamp.
