On a trip through Arkansas Aug 30th I was pulling my 30' camper along I30 around Hope. The trailer suffered a blown tire and I was forced to change it around 1300. If you go back an look at the weather almanac for that day the high was over 110-degrees in that area. Anyways, the only jack I had was the one with my '99 F350 which seemed sufficient. However, the crowbar and extensions are stored under the hood in the engine compartment. Needless to say they were hot; and the mass of the crowbar is substantial. I suffered second-degree burns on my hands trying to remove the crowbar and use it to jack the trailer. If you own a SuperDuty truck with the crowbar and extension stored under the hood you need to invest in some good cowhide work gloves and keep them in the truck so you can handle these. ------------------------------ From: "DelGrosso" <jpdelgrosso Subject: Ah Ha so I am not alone............. Date: Sat, 9 Sep 2000 15:06:04 -0400 Hey guys I fully agree - this list is rite next door to borrrrrrrrring........ The discussions are minmal and nearly useless - sorry if I offend anyone - but it seems to be missing alot compared to when we were 'combined' Maybe just not enough of us on this list or something - but I always thought I was learning something new about my truck when I came to the site - now it just seems - 'special interest' - too simple of questions with too simple of answers -.....or something - I asked a question a couple weeks back and got one response that was very short. It just seems different from when we were together - maybe it was just a few of the other people on the list that made it interesting and now we lost them and it just isnt the same - Do we need to create our own 'more interesting' site? I guess if we want to stay separate we should be more 'talkative' and maybe that will make a difference - It also seems that the people who signed up for the separate list are not all still here - I thought there were more than a dozen of us....... Oh well - I will do my part in answering more questions that I can and see if that can make a difference for us - but let's face it if our numbers are few it takes too much energy for all of us to make it what it was...... Patti Don't hurry through life Take time to enjoy it! ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 9 Sep 2000 19:31:13 -0400 From: admin Subject: Subscription to forum at http://www.ford-trucks.com/c Following are new messages posted in the Ford Truck Enthusiasts message board forums.
