Just a mention of how it ticked me off when there was no way to
totally shut off the light so you could feel safe getting into
the truck in our crime ridden country! I removed the lamp and use
a flashlight when I need to see inside at night without fear of
calling every mugger in the state in for the kill.

I believe the person who wrote the message in question uses a yahoo
provided email account, so yahoo tags an ad on the bottom of every
message he sends, which is completely out of of his control.

Actually, Having a light on is safer than not. Muggers/criminals love the
dark, as no one can see them. With a light on, you make them visible if
they try something.
Having worked for a P.D in California for 6 years "Opened my eyes" to a lot
of crime deterrents. Light is one of them!

Not a big deal and doesn't come close to the definition of spam regardless
what the tagline said.

Subject: FTE Small - engine swap options for a 2.9L

There is not only a 4.0 L swap, but a 5.0 L swap as well. I had intended to
post the links here, but when I tried them prior to posting, they didn't
work for some reason. I have the information printed out and will find a way
to forward it if anyone is interested.
As you might expect, the 5.0 requires a little more than the 4.0 does.
with the 5.0 you need a different radiator, and the tranny has to be changed
as well. The a4ld tranny can't handle the output from a V-8.
A C4 will bolt in from what I understand if the bell housing and the tail
shaft are changed. The 4.0 is a very do-able swap, however part of the
wiring harness needs to be changed and the computer from the 4.0 needs to be
grafted in. From what I have read on it, if you are at least somewhat
knowledgable in general auto repairs and take one wire at a time, you can
handle it. Post here or my E-dress if you want more....
.....come on seven....daddy wants a 5.0 .........

Me and my fat fingers... try these for starters
2.9 L to 4.0 L:
http://www.ford-trucks.com//lc/lc.php?action=do&link=http://www.homestead.com/therangerstation/4L_Conversion.html
2.9 L to 5.0 L:
http://www.ford-trucks.com//lc/lc.php?action=do&link=http://www/kaufmannproducts.com/rangersw.htm

These are not the sites I have printed, these are sites I had written down
during a midnight+ search for information about swapping out the 2.9 L in
the family '88 Bronco II.
