As I am going to be towing a heavier load (about 3,000 pounds) I'll probably look for 4.10 gears. I am curious about how the gas mileage would be on a rig like this. I'll be buying an automatic and maybe even a 2wd if I can find a good deal on one. By mileage, I mean mainly hwy to work and freeway. I don't drive much in the city. How about towing mileage and performance in mountainous terrain? Also, any comments on towing a load like this (boat) and any other equipment suggestions are appreciated. Check out the latest issue of Truckin' magazine (October 99). Gary Pratt, of "Ford Folio" fame, gave us a nice tip of the hat in his report on the 21st annual F100 Supernationals in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. He even mentioned Don Neighbors and myself by name! The article is pretty good. There's mention of some of the new products out there. The whole article makes me wish I was at the show again. That may be because the only hitches are rated at 3500 (Class III) =========================================================== David Cooley N5XMT Internet: N5XMT Packet: N5XMT Sponges grow in the ocean... It works fine now, However I would recommend that if anyone it gonna do this to their truck to go to Ford and get a the new washers for the Peddle rod.
