Got about 65K on my last set (good considering my driving habits) Do a little off-road driving (occasional fishing trip or Xmas tree hunt) and find these tires a good match for both. Firestone tires will *never* be found on one of them! 2. Goodyear Wranglers are only "ok", but are too expensive for the product - I've been disappointed with the tread life. 3. Best value I believe are Michelin, although we have never had a set of BFG's except as OE. For a quiet ride and good traction ON the street, the M&S are best. For best traction on muddy construction sites, we go for the A/T's, although they sing a little on the pavement. To date no premature (before tread wear-out) failures with the Michelins. The idea is that you drop the tank, dump the stuff in, and rotate the tank a lot, sloshing it all around until it dries, sealing everything. On the other hand, at least 25% of the stuff I've bought from JC Whitney has never worked, and their prices seem higher than where I live (the most expensive part of the US).
