Are you checking the play with the transmission in neutral? If
its in park, you can't feel any play because the tranny locks up
the shaft and the rear wheels lock up the differential.

If it's a balance issue, shouldn't the noise be present at constant speeds
rather than only when under hard load?

Hey im looking for new tires for my 88' bronco 2 - 2.9l v8. It doesn't have
a lift and there are no mod's on it. What is the largest size tires that I
could purchase for it, and what brand are recomended? Any feedback would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks
