But, if they need welding or drilling, $100 might not be so bad. Westin is set to ship their side bars to dealers starting Oct 12. They should be bolt-ons, but I can't be 100% sure until I see them. I recently backed into someone with my 91 and got an estimate for the whole repair including the bumper. When the shop took it apart they saw that not only was the bumper shell trashed but its bracket assy (right on the inside) was as well. They ordered a new bumper from Ford thinking the bracket would be included and it came in today with no bracket but the dealer is not being of any help. My insurance company wants to pay for it but according to the shop the part is not documented in their crash estimation guide or by Ford. I need my car back and the shop is getting frustrated - can someone tell me what the part# is or where it can be found? I used to tow it with a 92 explorer with rear drum and rear (abs) only and it stopped much better with a nice feel...I 've had my new truck re done and i have all new pads and resurfaced rotors all the calipers work and it still doesn' t wanna stop...I've looked into aftermarket braking systems but they all run $2,000 area and they need 17" rims to fit them which means new rims and tires plus the better brakes which means about $5,000 to $6000 which i don't think so......Does anyone know of a better setup for this truck i mean does ford have a better or bigger rotor and caliper setup....I do have the full tow package so i assume there is no extra brake package for the extra load......Any info is appreciated. p.s. the bass boat is a 1988 stratos bass boat19' with a 200hp evinrude motor and a electric evinrude troller motor it has twin 24 gal fuel tanks and two live wells with two fish finders front and back with a tandem axle trailer with brakes and a custom cover and its for sale $9,000 major low hours absoltley mint cond.in the jersey area interested call (973) 613-6499or email ding060297 == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 15 Sep 1998 02:02:46 -0400 From: daner Subject: Re: FTE Small - After-market HOODS for RANGER Unfortunately that site, only has hoods for the 93-97, unless someone knows that a 93-97 hood would fit on a 89-92??
