Absolutely not. If you look in the literature from any car seat they will
tell you this is not appropriate. First of all, the seat would sit
sideways, so a hit head on or from behind would cause the seat to fly
forward. Second, these seats are not locked into place so they might try
to close in an accident. The safest place for a child is in a rear-facing
infant seat securely bolted in the back.

I am a Pediatric ICU nurse and have already seen enough children improperly
restrained (or completely unrestrained) either end up severely injured or
killed outright. I am very glad you had the foresight to ask before you did
something that got your child hurt. Happy Father's Day!

information on paints and prep. work there is a web site that I think will
nterest you. It is located at
I hope you like that site as well as I did. It has a question and answer
format and it shows some of the topics that have been discussed over the last
several month.

I had my Bronco II drop into 4L just after I first got it. The grinding was
terrible, and I thought it was my tranny going, since it was only in 2/3
gear. Took it to my brother in law, who's a mechanic... needless to say, I
was the source of a lot of humour around the house when he fixed it in like
2 seconds.... :-)
So what was the problem?

No fix, just put it back. It did it one other time, but I don't have the
auto switch, it's a manual deployment device...... a stick.
