I had my Bronco II drop into 4L just after I first got it. The grinding was terrible, and I thought it was my tranny going, since it was only in 2/3 gear. Took it to my brother in law, who's a mechanic... needless to say, I was the source of a lot of humour around the house when he fixed it in like 2 seconds.... :-) On another note... Does anyone out there have aluminum rims they've had redone? Mine are getting all crappy (the coating is coroded.. harsh winters/lots of salt in Canada), and I'd like to strip them, recoat them before I put on new tires.... Any advice? On the tire note: Will 235/75R15 fit on a Stock Bronco II/Ranger (88) without rubbing? Thanks in advance.... I went to two national chains and they wanted $100 to $200 extra to bend me the larger pipe. I found a small local shop to do a cat back 2 1/2 with a "performance" muffler for 180.00. I understand with the 2.9 which I have also, you must use caution or risk going out of the limits of your computer/fuel system configuration. At that point you get into a very expensive area. Together with the K&N filter, I figure all I need is a higher output ignition. That will complete the inexpensive additions, getting the best value. After that I have been repeatedly told to go with a V-8 (302 or 351) or a super charger. It seems mods for the 2.9 are expensive and reach a point of diminishing return quickly. This does not address your question about dual. I could only guess you would spend a lot of money for little gain over what I did. Let me know if you go that route and how much it costs. Did any 5.0L Mustangs come with a Y-PIPE? I think of going Y-PIPE and then a 3" or 3.5" exhaust dumping out the passenger side at the box. > Tom; > I put a single 2 1/2" in place of my 2" stock and found a >noticeable improvement.
