I have a '97 Mountaineer, and have been thinking about what tires I may go to when the current ones wear out. The truck currently has 235/75R15 Wilderness ATs. I have seen discussion here about the use of 265/75R15s on Rangers, and I was wondering if anyone has experience using tires of this size on a "new" series Explorer. They hadn't done it though. Has any one seen this done? Forwarded to all the lists for: From: Gary Callahan Please cc all replies to him! Thanks. I live in southern California and have been a member of this list for over six months now. I have enjoyed it very much. I have posted questions and replied to other postings. I have an idea I'd like to put forth for concideration. I think it would be great fun to get together with other members of this list for a weekend outing. I think we could pick one of the trips from Harry Lewellyn's "glovebox" book on backroad trips in southern California or if anyone knows of another good day trip in the area. I think it would be best to limit it to a one-day event for now. We could all meet at a predetermined location, drive the scenic backroads to a nice spot for a potluck lunch, then home a different route. Let me know what you all think of this idea. After all the Jeep owners have their Jeep Jamboree. Why can't we have a gathering as well. Send (or post) your thoughts to me soon, the summer will be over before you know it. For quickest response reply to my e-mail at work. Does anyone out there know of some place where I can get my engine and undercarriage of my Explorer steam-cleaned. I'm about to install new bushings and sway bars and all that, and just want to clean up my vehicle before I do all this. I live in the Houston area if anyone from Houston knows of a good place. Greatly appreciated.
