I would try to follow, but just brought the Ranger into the shop this AM to have it checked - was too worried about doing damage or getting stranded here in the 105 degree north Texas heat. I think it was getting worse day-by-day, but maybe I was just getting older. They're supposed to do the diagnosis and I'll do the repair/replacement, unless their price is really good. Thet're an independent shop with a good reputation, and are the guys who maintained the Ranger for the previous owner (for all 12 years). I'll let you know what they find, what was done, and what it cost. I have a question about welding aluminum. What I'd = like to do is design and build my own cargo rack for my BroncoII. My problem is that I do not have access to a tig welder and I can not = afford to purchase one. I could bolt the rack together but for piece of = mind I would also like to tack weld it. Anyone have any suggestions? Can you crudely tack or spot weld with a = Benzomatic Torch and aluminum rod? Mine clicks on and off after 100 miles or so, especialy while towing. Its done it since the truck was new. I've taken it to the dealer and to a local shop and they say that this is normal and not to wory about it, they dont get any bad code. I had a bad TP sensor replaced recently and when they did a diagnostic on it, it was the day after a long trip when I was getting the check engine light clicking on and off. They got no other error codes. Since the replacement of the TP sensor the light still comes on while trveling. Once I come home let the truck cool down and go back to normal local driving it wont come on. Whats up with this? Why is this "normal"? It realy bugs me, is there anything I can do about this? == FTE: Unsubscribe and posting info www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 8 Jul 1998 12:08:01 -0400 From: "Troutbm" Subject: FTE Small - Wacky windshield wipers I am currently having a strange problem with the wipers on my 95 Ranger. Almost always after a single wipe, the wipers will delay and then wipe at least one more time before actually quiting. Other times after wiping, they will come on at full speed until I rotate the switch all the way on and then back to off again. Has anyone else had a problem like this or just me?
