You must have seen an F250 Heavy Duty. There is an F250 that is the same as
the F150 as well, but there is also a heavy duty model that gets the new look,
and also has the heavy duty power up options, 5.4 v8, 6.8 v10, and big ass
diesel.

Hi,

Does anyone know how can I upgrade my AWD system with low range
capability? I feel that the AWD is great, but it seems to slip
sometimes.

I also feel that the AWD need to engage the front wheels quicker where
there is dry pavement and ice on the rear. Is there a possibility that
like the '98 Control-Trac, the front wheels engage quickly before the
rear wheels slip? I have to depress the gas slowly to get the front
wheel to react.

Does anyone know about upgrading the standard suspension to Automatic
Ride Control?

That's exactly what happening, your drive train is binding up, then
releasing as the rear wheels kick out. The reason it happens going down
a hill is because of the weight transfer to the front which lightens up
the bed. On level ground both axles fight against each other. For a
perfect demonstration of this, (use a friends Chevy S-10, it can be
harmful) put the truck in 4Lo on dry ground. Without wheel slippage,
like you get on dirt, both axles will bind in about 10 to 20 yards. You
will either be forced to stop, (unless you have mondo horsepower) shear
a drive line, break an axle, or the wheels will slip. This is the
difference between 4 wheel drive and all wheel drive, which use a
differential to split power to the front and rear. 4 wheel drive turns
each axle the same ratio out of the transfer case. This is also why you
must run the same gears front and rear.

I have a Flowmaster prototype cat-back system on my 95' Supercab XLT 4.0
V-6. It's awesome, a little louder, and flows a whole lot better. Try
Flowmaster at 707-544-4761, ask for sales or tech. support. My friend
works there in R&D and installed my system as a test vehicle for free.
The kit will be available this month. As for a 97,' he said their
working on one! If you can't wait, find a local shop to install one.
Most shops that sell Flowmaster mufflers know enough about them to put
the correct one on your truck. I suggest you unbolt your factory system
and leave it at home so they don't butcher it. The system is fairly
simple from the cat back, the only parts will be the muffler, a new tail
pipe, and a few hangers. Flowmaster also has a mail order department,
you can order direct from them.

Hi Lou,
I'm sorry, but I do not understand. Where exactly was the anti-seize
compound that was giving you problems? Was it on the pin things that
the calipers float on or somewhere else? I would really like to know.
