I hadn't though about my 235/85 on 16 inch wheels rather than 15, that would
kinda make a difference.... But thanks for the replies

The 1st batch of stickers that we've been selling to fund
the web site and the Ford truck mailing lists have finally
been sold. We just got our second batch back from the
printer. Its very similar to the current sticker except
its larger and the web address font is different. This
sticker is **much** easier to read. Price is the same.

For those that don't know, to fund the web site I sell
static cling window stickers. Go to the main page and
click "Products" for full information (note, the page
says the sticker is 2.75" x 11", its now 3" x 12").

Now returning you to our regularly scheduled program...

The underhood light is gone on my 97 Aerostar. It was on the 92 I used to
have. Anyone know what year it went bye-bye? I have read in this list the
Ranger light also went. My 94 Ranger still has the light.

Thanks,
Gary

In a message dated 98-03-27 23:00:55 EST, you write:

pulled out of the mud??? If you meant the kind for getting pulled out of
the mud, check out my web site at the link below and click on "Tow Hooks".
I was able to set up some on my '97 with the front air dam with fog lights,
and they look pretty good. >>

I'm looking for a trailer towing hitch.

Subject: '88 Ranger Hydraulic Lifters

I've been having some problems with my lifters clacking (hopefully not
due to fault of the crankshaft as someone mentioned a few issues ago), a
friend mentioned that to test for a cracked lifter that the next time
they started clacking that I either rev the engine in neutral for around
20 seconds or I do a load test. The load test comprised of starting from
a complete stop in third gear. On both of the above mentioned tests, my
lifters were supposed to be bad if the clacking ceased after performing
either or both of these tests.
So my Ranger "passed" these tests, the clacking stopped.
What I'm really wondering about is the operating principle of hydraulic
lifters and how the above mentioned tests, diagnose a cracked lifter.
Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

J-Dog
