Sorry I can't agree with you. I live in a "Ford Country" town, lots of farms and
ranches. You don't see GM around here much. I have a 97 Ranger SC 4x2 XLT with 4:10
:1 5 speed. I for one think the F150 looks goofy.

In a message dated 98-02-20 23:12:40 EST, you write:
in the engine compartment...this relay is what is used to make them turn on
only with the low beams. I think that the easiest way would be to rewire
the fog lights with an aftermarket wiring harness for off road lights and
use the factory switch. Pep Boys sells just this type of harness for about
$20. I don't think that there is an easy way to use the existing wiring
from the truck unless you can get a goos schematic somewhere...my haynes
book doesn't even show the fogs in its diagrams.
Thanks...I was thinking the foglight switch itself may need to be rewired. But
a stereo/alarm installer friend tells me I can rewire the "86" pin on the
factory relay to make it work. I'll try it later.
>> Check the legality of this before you do this also...I'm pretty sure it's
not legal to have your fog lights on with any other light setting than with
the low beams in my neck of the woods....
I believe it is legal in NJ to run the fogs with parking lights...my uncle's
Jeep allows it.

I am in the proccess of ordering a new 98' Ranger Splash with the 4.0L V6
engine and the manual tranny. Just last week I was involved in an accident
that totaled my 96' 3.0L Ranger XLT. I used a 2 chamber Flowmaster muffler
with a single inlet/dual outlet setup with 2 1/4" pipes and chrome tips that
exited the rear. Its sounded amazingly good for a 3.0, but my question is
since I basicly have to start all over again with a new Ranger I wanted to
know who has a performance exhaust and what kind, and if you like it.

Borla is great! Sounds good, looks good, easy to install and mine is connected
to JBA shorty headers. Works great!

Hey i was wondering what would be the best cam/and setup (rockers, etc)
for my 96 2.3 ranger , also what would be any gains
HP, Torque, sound, etc. I don't know much about this (I have the racer
walsh catalogue and that is where i saw the parts)so I was curious, also
what would be a comprable price for this install and parts?? Thanx
