I had a similar problem on my 89 BII EB, your problem is in the retractor mechanism which from my knowledge can not be repaired. The solution for me was to buy a new set of seatbelts, they are very expensive and must be purchased in a set. I think list price was $120 or something like that, I ended up getting it for $78 from a dealer in california. Installation was pretty straight foward, I found it went a lot faster and easier if I removed the seat, then you have to remove the trim panel to get at the fasteners. It uses Torx fasteners, the job took about an hour and my seat belt works like a charm now. You'll also need you vechile trim code if you want one to match your interior. Does anyone make a dual exhaust catback system for the 4.0 V6? Does the current h-pipe accommodate duals or must this be purchased too? I saw in the Motorsport catalog that headers are available for the 4.0. Are there any other companies that make headers and h-pipe? Slave Cylinder Hello all, Just wondering if anyone else is having problems with the slave cylinder in the hydrolic clutch system on a '97 Ranger. I feel mine is going out again (second time in 17.5k miles) after being replaced about 2500 miles ago...It sounds like a squeaking noise when you depress and release the clutch peddle. I saw a TSB (BC2301970501) that says that there was a redesigned unit for this model year, so I'm gonna show it to the folks at my dealer and see what they say. I really like the truck, but if I'm going to have to have the transmission/t-case/dirveshafts pulled out and the slave cylinder replaced every 2.5-3k miles, I'm gonna unload it before the warranty runs out... First of all the catback would be not served good becuase it wouldn't gain from being "true duals" ie one pipe off each engine side. Also I know on my car (2 door explorer) there would be some SERIOUS problems putting on the driver's side pipe, the gas tank is in the way and it would take some strange bending that would become restrictive. My advice, for the 4.0 you only need like a 2 1/2 " pipe, so get a nice sized single exhaust (mine's a borla) and enjoy. And if you just want the looks of dual, glue a tip to the bumper. (just kidding of course). Many companies make headers BBK, borla, vanir, etc.... don't think they have an H pipe (only used with true duals I think). Jordan ------------------------------....
