It came out of a regular cab, but will fit supercabs. Ford put the same window in both supercabs and regular cabs this year. It has a real nice dark tint to it. I'm asking $50 plus shipping. It's been a while, but I made some progress on the Eaton Superchargers. Check out this website and the Link to Eaton: http://www.ford-trucks.com//lc/lc.php?action=do&link=http://www.magnuson-products.com/ The disclaimer states that they don't do aftermarket kits, but they will sell you the SC. I e-mailed for more info and employee discount (hehe). Hopefully the Eaton engineers might be interested in designing a kit for 2.9L and 3.0L engines, to me the model 62 looks like a perfect fit. If I can get the charger cheap I might design a kit myself and maybe post instructions on my website. How does that sound?? I will keep you updated. Here's a question for all you "stereo system" geniouses out there. I just had a 180 watt JBL amp installed into my Ranger. It is hooked up to the factory stereo and powers one 10 inch Cerwin Vega sub- woofer. It worked great for a week, but on saturday afternoon, it took a crap. I had an electric sliding rear window installed and the stereo hasn't sounded right since. When I have all four (plus the woofer) on (fade on stereo in mid way between F and B) and turn the volume up past half way, it sounds like there is bad static, kinda like a station isn't tuned in--but this happens while playing a CD too. Also, when I turn the truck on, it sounds like there is a sound coming from the speakers....BEFORE the radio actually turns on. Does anyone have a clue what the hell could be wrong? Actually all it probably is is some bad grounds, or something hooked on the same ground as the stereo or amp. Play around with your wiring a bit. Make sure your grounds are good..no paint etc....and check the wiring on the window....they might have loosened an amp ground etc.... 10 to 1 odds it's an easy fix. Possibly, if all other means exhausted, look into a noise suppressor type of device...they're cheap...good luck and keep me posted. Next, try and place the ground for the amp as far away (on the frame) from the engine as possible, it is possible to get sound through this. you did wire the amp directly to the battery didn't you??? if not, that is almost certainly you're problem. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 7 Apr 1998 22:46:24 -0500 From: Anthony Rio Subject: FW: The new Ford Excursion (Yes, the rumors are true) Sorry if this is a double post. The new Ford Truck badge called the "Excursion" had a small write up this month including a small spy pic. The following is from the May '98 issue of "Car and Driver" page 28: "BIG FAT FORD: How big is Ford's new indutrial-size utility vehical? Compare it with the Chevsole Suburban on the right in this spy shot (sic), which was taken during a break in Ford comparison testing. Based on the new super-duty F-250 and F-350, this five door sport utility called the Excursion, should seat at least eight and still have room for luggage. Top of the line power will come from the 6.8 liter V-10, but the 5.4 liter V-8 and 7.3 liter diesel will also be offered. Look for it in 1999." Caption under photo reads: "Ford's big wagon dwarfs the Suburban." Sure does!!! from the picture this is a huge truck! ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 7 Apr 1998 23:45:33 -0500 (CDT) From: Diana Slyter Subject: Re: Sliding Rear Window for sale sounds mighty tempting!
