Does any one know why? Would changing it to a manual fluid make any change or affect performance? ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 9 Jan 1998 21:42:54 -0800 (PST) From: mark fitzgerald Subject: Re: Manual Transmission umm....you may want to doublt check that..but i could be wrong... fitzy _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!? ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 10 Jan 1998 02:40:34 -0500 From: Lou Guerriero Subject: Re: Bronco II Stuff Hi all... What are the best tires for all terrain type apps? I am in desperate need of new ones.. (bumped someone the other day! ouch!), and am looking at the Bridgestone AT's.. I like the look, and they seem to be reasonably priced.... Any comments? I've also seen a few others I like the look of.. the Goodyear Wrangler RT/S are nice too.. Also... What can be done to increase the performance on a Bronco II 2.9 88? I am thinking of replacing the exhaust system.. from the headers back.. the truck is paid for.. and this summer.. I wanna spice her up a bit. Thanks in advance! When I first bought the truck, I asked the Ford maintenace guy what the other 4 were for. His answer was, when the computer detects that there is too much un burnt fuel in the exhaust, it fires the second set along with the first set. Mark F. was correct, it is for fuel efficiency, but it is also part of the emmissions crap that the govt. requires. I suppose that it would also tend to increase power when under a load, since that is when fuel usage is the worst. Hope you continue to enjoy your new Ranger. I bought mine in '92 with 28 miles on it. Just rolled over 79000 and have yet to take it the repair shop. An occasional tune-up, oil change, etc... is all I have done. I also run 8 Bosch platinum plugs. I LOVE them.
