I have a 2.9 if that makes any differance. Thanks for any help. Bryan ______________________________________________________ ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 25 Mar 1998 14:58:14 EST From: LuvsTrux Subject: Wheels I was hoping I could find somebody on the list who has replaced the wheels on their Ranger or Explorer with aftermarkets and is willining to unload the factory ones for a price. I need some new wheels for my BII. It would be great if you could reply to me personally. Thanks. I don't work in that division, but they make the most of two sizes. The M112 is designed for the Jaguar XJR with a 4.0L V8 and the M-16 which is designed for 0.6 Liter to 1.3 Liter engines. I will check to see if the M112 is available to the public, what the cost is, and if it can be used on the 4.0L Push-rod or SOHC Ford engine. (I'll also see if I can get an employee discount...HeHe.) Keep you eyes on this list. I just sold mine this week after trying to sell them for the past year and a half. I had the 5 Teardrop Design that came on the Explorers and Rangers for 96 as an option. I even had 31x10.5x15 mud tires on them. Sorry, if I would have known, I would have let you know about them. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 25 Mar 1998 22:00:25 EST From: SNOOP22222 Subject: My Final Word on NOS Hey, if you don't think you'll have any problems with NOS than get it. I would tell who ever buys one to talk to people who have used it. I obviously am never going to proove my point that NOS will inevitably cause damage to your engine. However, like I said before, many of my friends have bought it and sold there cars with about 60,000 miles on them because eventually you either push it to hard or you just use it too often. If you don't agree that's great. I feel your doing people an injustice when the ask about it if you don't tell them there is a risk involved. Later guys...oh yeah, anybody here added on power steering. What kind of a job is it. (Also, if you know why the Ford decided not to include power steering on a vehicle made in the 90's please let me know. I must say that having standard steering and a stick is annoying at best) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 25 Mar 1998 22:27:22 -0500 From: Nathan Heid Subject: Re: My Final Word on NOS >you don't tell them there is a risk involved. The only unexpected part was having to cut a notch in a bracket to clear my mechanical fuel pump, but that shouldn't be a problem if your truck was built in the '90's(EFI) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 25 Mar 1998 22:43:32 -0500 From: "J. My basic point was that it would be no more, and probably less damage than equivelant forced induction setups. > However, like I said before, many of my friends have bought it > and sold there cars with about 60,000 miles on them because eventually you > either push it to hard or you just use it too often. I agree, but that warning should go with any power adder. It's easier to fry your motor with boost than nitrous. Any heavy power adder, setup incorrectly, will cause engine damage.
