Subject: 94 Ranger 4X4 question

I have a 94 Ranger 4X4. My question is about the four wheel drive. I have
the push button system, and when it is in four wheel high, it is very hard to
turn, alsmost as if the tires are hitting something. I don;t believe that
they are hitting anything. Could it possibly be something with the gears
missing or something. If anyone knows what is wrong and how to correct it, it
would be appreciated.
