I hope that someone is wrong. The crew cab was going to be my next
truck... It is just the right size. I saw the 4 door here at the LA
show-it doesn't do me any good. I want a truck that can carry more than 1
passenger in some comfort (no 3 across for me!) and still use to haul.

what are these called {they are NOT the little gray {or black things the
lights go into and twist in},but these have two little studs that stick
out of the back of the instrument clsuter and attaches by two little nuts..
whiich connects them to the instrument cluster...
what are they called...I need to replace 3 and can't get the dealer to
understand what I need..

When the specs first came out, they did say that the Crew cab Ranger was only
for South America, but that was a few months ago, maybe they've changed their
minds. Ask Josh?

Right now, the only 4 door ranger is the supercab with 4 doors. I
was told by Ford that maybe April they will annouce the new 4 door
ranger which I assume is the crew cab one. We will have to wait and
see. Maybe I'll get some inside info soon.

Thanks Pat and Midwest,
I ''ll have to decide what to do as far as antenna's go. My spare two inches
between the roof and garage door don't allow for many options. I thought of
the detachable quick-disconnect mirror mounts, but I like to use the CB a lot
and don't want to remove the antenna every time I get home. At least the
negative things I've heard about the FM antenna splicers are true so I won't
waste my money.

Thanks for the K&N info, Mike. I know they have them for $49 bucks at the
auto parts store by my house. I'll definitely get one. If anything, the
price will even out with the paper ones, and at least the engine will burn
cleaner air. Also thanks to Bill for the CB info.

quick and simple, I need to know how durable the spray in bed-liners
are. A friend of mine is ordering a 1999 Ford F-250 (should arrive late
Feb early March) and wants to kow the best bed protection. The dealer
will throw a plastic bedliner in for free, but they scratch the bed and
encourage rust by trapping moisture. It will have a 5th wheel setup as
well. He does a lot of shoveling gravel, hauling a lot of stuff, and a
lot of what he hauls can potentially cause damge. Durable? If so,
where did you get it? Local or nat'l company?

any responses would be much appreciated.

I would tell him to get the rubberized spray-in type and toss a under
the rail liner over that. Then he might want to spray that too, just
so stuff doesn't slide around on the plastic liner.

Randy,

Probably the easiest way to identify these items is to go to a Ford dealer that
has the exploded views on a computer. They can zoom in on your specific dash
arrangement and you can point to the item you are looking for and they will
have the part number.
