I'm debating whether to buy a tonneau cover for my 90 Ex-cab Ranger or a camper shell... present gas MPG runs 18-22 with 2.9 V6. What gas mileage improvement would either make, and since they are so relatively inexpensive, what drawbacks if any to the soft tonneau covers? Hard Tonneaus seem to run about 500$ and shells 700-900.. Bruce Hood, Instructor of Speech Butte College, Chico California National Chmn.
