interesting, i wonder if any f150's came that way. do you happen to recall
if that f250 had 3/4 or 1 ton axles under it. just curious. i have a 79
f350 here with a 460, but it had a 400 in it factory i believe. it has the
dana 60 front, dana 80 (70 maybe?) rear. i was wondering if the big block
option upgraded the axles also.

Are you sure that you want a 4-link on a daily driver?!? They don't
exactly provide stellar ride characteristics. 4-links are great for
drag racing, but unless properly set-up, can make the handling of the
vehicle *squirrely* at best. I would recommend a traction (slapper) bar
setup for the street; it is easier to set up, it will cost a hell of a
lot less than back-halving your truck, it has better street manners, you
can still haul, and it will probably provide you with more than enough
traction. Competition Engineering (203-453-5200) has an excellent
traction bar product. I you *must* have a 4-link, I would call Chris
Alston's ChassisWorks (916-388-0288) and talk to them about your
options...they are very knowledgeable.
