Date: Mon, 5 Mar 2001 11:25:54 -0800 Ok, I am now an official member of Club FTE and have purchased something from the store (78 CD) so I will feel better about using the free features of the FTE site including the lists :-) Now I have to get hold of the old AFTE officers and ask a question about our remaining funds. Don, you are on this list so I'll ask you right now.........what do you think about just sending the money to Ken and closing the account? Club FTE is going to do everything we ever thought we wanted to do so why not? Looks like the balance is $348.10 right now. Not sure what we should do about Wayne's magnetic club logos? No difference between the 6 and 8, their is three sets of bolt holes for the applicable engine. I never figured out what the engine third set of holes was for. Now the piece under the hood (on top of the radiator) and the one forward of the bottom of the radiator are different lengths for the 6 and 8. as far as the inner fenders go, keep checking the junkyards, it's not a high use item Stephen Hansen 1950 Ford F1 http://www.ford-trucks.com//lc/lc.php?action=do&link=http://members.tripod.com/sacketttt/1950_F-1.htm 1992 Ford F250 http://www.ford-trucks.com//lc/lc.php?action=do&link=http://members.tripod.com/sacketttt/my_1992_f-250.htm 2000 Keystone Cougar http://www.ford-trucks.com//lc/lc.php?action=do&link=http://members.tripod.com/sacketttt/Camper.htm ------------------------------ From: FISHROT1 Date: Mon, 5 Mar 2001 21:27:38 EST Subject: 223 performance ignition Ok, I have takin the time and expense to hopp up my 223 i-6, but I am still stuck with the stock ignition. They have a web site, link on FTE site at www.ford-trucks.com or just try their name in search. Lots of stuff about them in the 61-79 list archives. Some magazines have ads. ----- Original Message ----- From: <FISHROT1 To: <pre61-list Sent: Monday, March 05, 2001 9:27 PM Subject: [pre61-list] 223 performance ignition > ---------------------------------------------------------- > Support FTE - Check out our store: > http://www.motorhaven.com/ > ---------------------------------------------------------- > > Ok, I have takin the time and expense to hopp up my 223 i-6, but I am still > stuck with the stock ignition. Paid a lot of money for the privilege of driving in the state of Illinois. Paid less for antique insurance from Hagerty than the GOV took for himself. But, my question is about the speedo. I have a 3 speed on the floor, 3.73 rear gear, and 15" tires. How do I figure out what gear to put in the speedo drive to work out right. I believe that it now has a stock gear, and the speedo seems to be reading high.
