Help!!!!
In the middle of rebuilding my '51 6cy. 226 and the camshaft busted
right behind the camgear. Cannot locate one anywhere, have tried
kanter, eggers, sac, macs, carpenter, et. al. Wondering if anyone on the
list knows of a block sitting around of that vintage or another supplier
where it might be found. Can find every other part for the engine it
seems except the elusive camshaft.  I heard that someone on this list
named Scott new somebody with a block, if anyone remembers that list or
Scott if you reading this please email me.
Thanks,
Doug

Thanks for all the good info.  It seems everyone who owns one of these trucks
has some experience with rusty fenders.  I didn't realize that steel patch
panels were available for the area around the headlights, which is the area I
was most troubled with.  I think that I will check out the "patch panel"
route before I begin to shop for replacements since that is maybe something I
can do myself.  I have owned this truck for more than 18 years and while the
work was all fresh when I got it, the bloom is now off the rose, and she is
starting to look pretty dilapidated (sic?).  JDay

Dear Ford Truck Enthusiasts list members:

We have a new advertiser on our web site.  Since the beginning, our
practice  with  our web site advertisers has been to  make a  brief
announcement  (though this  practice has not  been  requested  from
several advertisers in  the last 6 months).  Please check out their
web site.  Our  advertisers enable us to continue to grow the scope
of services offered to you.

Here is their announcement:
Emerging Enterprises, Inc., your source for the Patented  Magnefine
Magnetic Inline Filter.  Approved by major OEMs, the filter extends
fluid  life and  decreases  wear  in  power  steering  systems  and
automatic  transmissions.  Simplifies servicing by  doing away with
normal pan servicing.  Easily installed in most vehicles.

Either visit our site and click on their ad or go directly to

Now returning you to our regularly scheduled program...
