ADMIN: Web site updates ADMIN: 2001 Specifications ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From: "Don & Lori Felt" <4tbirds Subject: RB's '53-'56 Front Frame Clip Date: Thu, 19 Oct 2000 21:35:27 -0000 Has anyone heard anything about RB's new '53-56' Front Frame Clip, advertised in the truck magazine's for $1295? It looks like an easy clip to install (requiring little welding), and uses four existing holes in the original frame for alignment after cutting off the frame just before the firewall. The clip uses a suspension from a 1978 to 1988 GM A or G body (Monte Carlo, Cutlass, etc). My '56 small window runs a Cleveland and a C6 with a 9" Rear End with reversed-eye monoleaf suspension and original-style steering box. Date: Fri, 20 Oct 2000 21:25:39 -0700 Hey guys, I have a chance to pick up a '54 F250 and am wondering what this one may be worth and some of the "gotcha's" to look out for. The truck is solid and straight with surface rust only -- one repairable wrinkled rear fender. Has everything minus the front bumper and all chrome hood trim. Appears to be original. Powered by a 239 - V8 with the 4.86 rearend. Runs ok and drives ok; needs brakes and exhaust. Interior is complete and trashed -- has heater and factory turn signals. Some cracked side glass. Bed is complete, straight and trashed. The truck was taken on a 400 mile trip about a year ago and then mostly parked. This baby is presently owned by a friend of the family about 9 hours away and I'm just wondering if its worth the trip.
