I know this isn't the right list, but I'm not on the right one... someone

 1962 Ford 800 series Fire Truck... complete - lights, siren, ladders,
hoses, axes, nozzles, turret nozzle, all pumps (working), red (naturally)
decent rubber, under 20k miles, body reasonable for it's age. Can be driven
anywhere - "Runs Fine"...their quote - asking $4000 or best offer.

Just wondering if anybody knows the front width of a 53 F100 frame.  Is it
the same as a 48-52?  (probably not but it would be nice if it was)

Even though I live in sunny California I have tired of not having a heater
and mostly a defroster in my 51 F-1 (its only been three years).

Does anyone have any good options for this at relatively low cost.  The
truck has been converted to 12 volt.

Subject: Fuel pump

Well, the corn is all in and it's time to continue on my '50. Tried to start it
last night, and could not get the fuel pump to pick up. Ran the flatty for
several minutes with a squirt bottle, but not getting any fuel from tank. The
sediment bowl is about 1/3 full and not filling. Truck has sat for about 1 1/2
months without being started. Tonight will check tank for outlet obstruction.
New pump, new lines, and cleaned tank before installation. Could the sediment
bowl gasket be leaking, causing the pump to suck air? Any ideas will be greatly
appreciated. Also, started hanging the front fenders last night. Is there a
trick to getting the upper fender and the grill to line up properly?

A few of the lists have had political content posted lately.

Do not use the lists for posting political content unless it
directly affects our Ford truck hobbies, and then only after
forwarding it to me for review first.

Discussing on-topic political content, such as crusher laws,
emission laws, highway safety, regulations, off-road laws,
etc. are acceptable.  Discussion of these topics requesting
members review pending bills and lobbying efforts should be
forwarded to me first.

Discussion of political candidates is off limits.

Sorry to take this stand, but its been abused lately, especially
with the pending election around the corner.  I don't care if
its conservative or liberal, it doesn't really belong here.
If you feel you must talk about it, use the General Conversation
forum on our web site where very little is considered off
topic.
