Hello All,

I am finding a bunch of front end swaps for 53, 54 ,55 and 56 but almost
nothing for the 48 - 52? Anyone know of a nice upgrade front set up for
these. I here about a Volarie clip but can I keep my frame and weld/bolt
something like a Mustang II?

Thanks in advance,
Rick

Yes, the mustang two will work. Probably your best bet. The Volarie is too
wide, some use a Nova... depends on the engine you want to use.

I am in Selmer, TN about 90 miles east of Memphis.  I would be very interested
to hear more about the truck.  My brother in law has been looking for such a
truck for several months and I thought I might help him in his search by
trading the stang.

Mustang II IFS kits work well and look very clean on the 48-52 F1 and are
easy to buy from many sources shipped to your home, costs ~$1000 if you do
it yourself by the time you make the brake, steering, and anti-roll bar
upgrades necessary for a vehicle the weight of an F1, must take care to
install it correctly as final geometry depends on how well the installation
is done.

AMC Pacer IFS fits the 48-52 frame perfectly, comes as a complete unit
already assembled to maintain all geometry correct during the installation
process, hard to screw up, comes from a donor equal in size and weight to
the F1, therefore comes standard with 11-inch 5-lug disc brake rotors, power
rack and pinion steering, and anti-roll bar. All parts standard Bendix/TRW
and replacement pieces are available through NAPA and CARQUEST. Not as
pretty as Mustang II, but only cost me $75 from a local bone yard, probably
the best money I ever spent on my F1.

Larry, Kingsburg CA.
