Maybe drill a small hole thru the rod and slip a cotter pin in it?

It's a 1953 F100 w/ 215 cid 6 cyl engine, assembled at the Dallas plant
and was the 20,988th truck off the line that year.

The following is the only thing I am seeing at the voting page relating somewhat to all the hubbub about non-ford mods:

Should we create a list to cover non-Ford and after-market customization of Ford trucks? [12 votes total]
Yes! 6(50%)
No! 4(33%)
Who Cares? 2(16%)

Shouldn't another question be something like:

Is it OK to mention the use of non-ford mods on our existing lists as long as it does not dwell on the technical aspects of the non-ford mods?

Am I missing the relevant issue? I know I don't have time to subscribe to yet another list which would probably be so all-encompassing by way of ford year/models so as to water-down the good, targeted discussions we have enjoyed for so long.

If the new list gets rejected, does that mean we still can't talk about our mopar engines?

If it gets approved does it mean we have to talk with another set of list members (basically get shunned from talking about our trucks with folks we've been talking with for a long time and have a "relationship" with)?
