I have noticed major mistakes in almost every issue of Classic Trucks that =
I
have purchased. For example, the cover of the February 1999 issue indicate=
s
that the magazine contains an article on "Power Door Locks for Early Ford
F-100s". The article inside is entitled "A Clean and Simple Solution for
Adding an Electric Door Mechanism to your '60-66 Chevy". I have noticed
several captions that indicate that the picture is of a Ford but it shows a
Chevy and the other way around.

Subject: FTE Pre61 - F-3 single or dually?

Hi Gang. I am trying to determine if my '52 F-3 dually flatbed was actually a
single rear-wheeled truck with a pickup bed when it was new. As of now, my
truck has the dual rears and a homemade flatbed. Any of you guys know if
these F-3's came from the factory with dual or single rears or both? maybe it
came from Ford as an unfished chassis (no bed)?

Thanks,
Paul

Sacramento Vintage Ford has park lights and lenses.
They have a Great Catalogue! Seems they only have
stainless in 48 vintage, yet paintable in all others.
Lenses are $8.00 each. Might give'em a call and
see if they can help. 916-489-3444 or 1-888-Ford-100

Ed, not much too original wiring on 48's.
I have a shop manual that has one in back.
I one-time pulled one whole out of my truck
and unwrapped each section, taking one wire at
a time and replacing with new (plastic cover) in
similar color and gauge, then wrapped up again.
It worked out great. Not original, yet very serviceable.
I think diagram is same for several years back then.
Try the Library for Mans. or Wiring Diagram Books.

When replying to Gary's response, I did not pay attention to the fact that it was going to the list members. I wanted to spare the boring details, but I don't want folks to think my need has been met. ACTUALLY... A bit of rust and the used look and feel will be an advantage to me over using a new set. I am going for the Corroded look. Anyone have an OLD set of 48-49 park lights? Sounds weired I know. I'm havin' a heck of a time. I'll send pics soon when I'm done.

I have a 1951 F-1 with a 6 cylinder engine. It runs so rich that gasoline drips
from the tail pipe! I have replaced the fuel pump and carb using commercially
rebuilt parts, (from Joblot, if I remember right) but it still does this.....
