LOL.. I don't respond to many.. but, come on.. some people take their
computers too seriously!!
about the 38 ford.. This is the Wife of J41 ford.. who, has a WHOLE back yard
full of old trucks.. I say..tell her up front..right after you present her
with that pair of diamond earrings!! hehehe.. ok.ok.. so you can't afford
diamonds.. THEN..
tell her that you want THIS to be HER truck when it's all restored.. that the
38 is the Best looking Truck out there..and the best looking woman .. should
be driving the best looking truck..
it's cheaper than DIVORCE.. as one guy mentioned... and.. it could soften the
blow..:)
just a womans point of view.. although, I love our old trucks as much as Joe
does..
so, I am a little biased.. NOW.. if I could only talk him OUT of the 41 for
ME!!!!

General Post to the guy that moved a truck from NC to
FL. Did you purchase that 50 Ford from your
brother-in-law, Vern? If so send me an e-mail. I
would like to buy it if it is for sale.

My wife is also excited about all 9 of my old trucks.
She would probably be a lot more excited if I'd get something finished &
driveable.

Brian & Ann

You asked about a 292 pulling a two horse trailer. If the engine is in =
decent shape it should do ok. The three speed tranny may be a problem =
if the rear end ratio is high. years ago when I was farming we pulled =
trailers with a ch**y with a six and three on the tree. We did have to =
slip the clutch a little to start with a heavey load, but what the heck,=
it got the job done. The combination you have should work ok as long =
as you aren't planning on winning races with a trailer on back with a cou=
ple of belgians on board. We had a 56 COE with either a 272 or 292 that =
would haul close to 400 bushel's of corn. Of course it also had a five =
speed transmission with a 2 speed rear axle and was probably gear lower =
than low. It was a great truck until my brother rolled it with the landl=
ady on board, but thats another story. Good luck with the truck.....
