I know a lot of you like the Mustang II IFS but IMHO the kit based on Dodge
Dakota parts is much stronger and apparently handles better based on an
article from about a year ago in Classic Trucks. Also it drops the front of
an F-1 only about two inches for some I know is not sufficient but for my
application will be perfect. Also after market dropped spindles are
available for Dakotas which will work fine with the kit.

Further the Dakota parts were designed for application in truck not a small
car which to me can only be better.

Steve I'd say you have a 51 not a 50 based on the dash. The dash is very
different on a 51 vs. a 50 and would be hard to change while the 50 grill
and fenders bolt on easily (I am told). I've seen a few 49's and 50's with
a 51 or 52 grill so I know it works that way. I would suspect that your
truck at some point had a mishap and lost its original grill and a 50 was
available as a replacement.

Im finished with the Mustang II IFS installation onto my 1951 F1, what I
would like to know is, does anydody know where I can get an anti sway bar ?
I'd really like to make this addition. Or has any one made modifications to
a stock one to make it work?

I'm installing a MII front end on my 51 F1 now, and it looks to me like the
strength depends on the quality of workmanship that goes into the install.
i.e. boxing frame , ample weld, etc. Speedway Motors sells springs for MII
installs with 3 different diameters and stiffness.
