They may or may not be the same for your 59. I purchased my kit from Fatman Fabrications and am very pleased with it. The included instructions made the job very easy. Master Cylinder Adaptor for 53-56 Ford F-100 and 47-54 Chevy Pickup The same adaptor is used for both applications. You'll notice one hole, and two others close together. (use the ones that line up with the original master cylinder mount holes in your frame. For front disc/rear drum applications, use a 1976 Mustang II 15/16" bore master cylinder for use with power brakes. (you'll use it without it's booster). The larger reservoir is plumbed to the disc brakes. Four wheel disc applications should use a 1968 Corvette 1" bore non-power master cylinder. We've supplied an adjustable pushrod for use with this kit. The mounting is best explained by the drawings. You may want to add or subtract spacer washers to get the pushrod going straight into the master cylinder. Adjust the pushrod length as required to get the correct pedal position and stroke. Be sure the pushrod cannot be pulled forward enough to fall out of the master cylinder and also reinstall the original brake pedal return spring. __________________________________________ NetZero - Defenders of the Free World Get your FREE Internet Access and Email at http://www.ford-trucks.com//lc/lc.php?action=do&link=http://www.netzero.net/download/index.html == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info http://www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 14 Oct 1999 09:33:05 -0500 From: Mark Hendricks Subject: FTE Pre61 - Looking for parts. Looking for a spotlight and a metal windshield sunvisor to put on a 50 F-1. Also, what's the best way to increase the speed. I've heard replacing the rear end, changing gears in the rear end and even replacing the 3 speed transmission with 3 speed plus OD transmission. Any info. would be appreciated. == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info http://www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 14 Oct 1999 10:27:13 -0500 From: Jeff Hazewinkel Subject: FTE Pre61 - Voltage Drain I am investigating a voltage drain on my 47 1 ton with a 49 239 flathead V8. It have been converted to 12v. I have eliminated the alternator and the cause. The wire harness is new as is all other electrical components. Where should I start ? Mark: As for the spotlight, check with Kanter Auto Products in Boonton, NJ. 1-800-526-1096 www.kanter.com. They may also have some visors but I didn't see any in their catalog. Another great place to check is Sacramento Vintage Ford Parts, 888-482-3444, www.vintage-ford.com. This is like a supermarket for Ford parts. I've been there for Mustang parts and it can get crazy picking out new parts. My wallet always took a big hit when I went there. I hope this information helps you. I tried to put newer (76) alt in my 56 Ford that had gen., and couldn't shut off current flow through it. I ended up putting a GM one-wire alt. on with only one 10g. wire to mess with. I used a voltage gauge and eliminated ammeter, reg,and lots of wiring. One-wire's are the only way to go on changeovers I believe. Check it out. The mailing list archives (all 166 meg!) have been formatted as HTML pages and uploaded to the server. As soon as they are indexed for searching and we come up with a good way to protect them from email address harvesting they will become available to the users. Not sure is anyone has noticed, but our web server is faster and mail delivery is too. The T1 install is on schedule.
