Don't do this right in front of the closed garage door. == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info http://www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 17 Sep 1999 19:39:47 -0500 From: "Byron Rosbrugh" Subject: Re: FTE Pre61 - steering adjustment Dan, check the 56 Ford Shop Manual pages 244 and 245. It contains a detailed step by step procedure for Steering Gear Adjustment. If you can't find a Manual, let me know and I will copy the pages and send to you. Good luck, I just finished a complete rebuild of the gear box, steering linkage, spindles, bearings, spring bushings, etc. Hope this helps, Byron - -----Original Message----- From: MilFam3 To: pre61-list Date: Wednesday, September 15, 1999 11:17 PM Subject: FTE Pre61 - steering adjustment >surely some one out there can explain how to adjust the steering box on a 56 >f-100 ?! many requests but no replys yet. how many out there just rebuild the >stock front end and leave it be? no comment on fuel tanks though !!!! please >help! 56 and lovin it >!
