I think the body man installed it without putting a bead of silicone down first. Is there anything I can do to fix this short of removing the windshield. The issue you refer to is the adjustment of the TV cable, I once read thru the procedure , it's pretty complicated involving observing the transmission fluid pressures at idle and full throttle, most things don't scare me much, but this procedure was not one I was nuts about. If you kept the engine transmission and linkage all together during the swap, then there is not going to be any problem, if not , then if should be checked, as improper adjustment causes early failure, and god knows the AOD can fail enough as it is. I could turn up a copy of the procedure if you want to tough it out. 47Fred == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info http://www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 21 Aug 1999 20:52:13 -0400 From: Ken Payne Subject: FTE Pre61 - FTE in Truckin' magazine Hi gang! Check out the latest issue of Truckin' magazine (October 99). Gary Pratt, of "Ford Folio" fame, gave us a nice tip of the hat in his report on the 21st annual F100 Supernationals in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. He even mentioned Don Neighbors and myself by name! The article is pretty good. There's mention of some of the new products out there. The whole article makes me wish I was at the show again. Condition? Let's just say it's primer grey, with one good front and one good rear fender, good original wood bed which white paint was recently spilled in and then stripped off; great 16-inch knobby tires (not too knobby), perfect front grille, 292 V8 not original, still daily driver, interior needs seat cover, has small back window, new front windshield, new brakes last year (whole system), new charging system, no front bumper or rear bumper, heavy duty four-speed tranny (not original) w/floor shifter, and a freshly dented hood, compliments of my girlfriend and somebody's flatbed truck. Plus new cooling system+radiator (last year). 56 F100's are everywhere; what about the F250? Any thoughts?
