My '51 F3 was running fine...then it just quit as I was driving on the road. Pop the clutch and it would run a little more. I
limped it home that way. Checking, the coil was HOT. Should it be?

i'm hoping i can get a bit of help from the fte folks, i have an order in for
rear cab corners at obsolete ford but they are on backorder. i live near
shermans assoc. here in detroit. they offer 53 to 56 corners cheaper but will
they go on a 49 f-1 ? if so i can c*ncel the order and go thru shermans and
be done with it.
any help from members would be appreciated, thanks .

I'm a little slow on this one but in 1921, Ethyl Corporation began its
business with the antiknock compound tetraethyl lead. The higher (100+)
octanes were formulated for fighter aircraft during WWII and became
known
as 'Avgas'. You can still buy 100 octane gas at the Terrible Herbst
stations in Nevada. It's sold as 'racing gasoline' $3.40/gallon.
